Near-ionization-threshold emission in atomic gases driven by intense sub-cycle pulses

open access: yes, 2016
We study theoretically the dipole radiation of a hydrogen atom driven by an intense sub-cycle pulse. The time-dependent Schr\"odinger equation for the system is solved by ab initio calculation to obtain the dipole response.

Self‐Assembly of a Tripodal Terpyridine Based Ligand with Luminescent Lanthanide Ions in Solution and Soft Material

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
The tripodal terpyridine‐1,3,5‐benzene tricarboxamide (BTA) ligand 1 is employed in the self‐assembly formation of novel luminescent materials using a range of lanthanide ions. In the polar protic solution, the results from the photophysical measurements are assessed using nonlinear regression analysis, while the functional material properties of the ...

μJ-level normal-dispersion fiber optical chirped-pulse parametric oscillator

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications
We demonstrate the generation of broadband tunable and synchronized pulses exceeding the microjoule level using the new concept of Fiber Optical Parametric Chirped-Pulse Oscillation (FOPCPO).

MHD waves in sunspots

open access: yes, 2015
The review addresses the spatial frequency morphology of sources of sunspot oscillations and waves, including their localization, size, oscillation periods, height localization with the mechanism of cut-off frequency that forms the observed emission ...

Ultrabroadband Excitation of Hot Carriers in Plasmonic Nanorods Revealed by Two‐Dimensional Electronic Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This work dissects the ultrafast response of polydisperse plasmonic nanorods using two‐dimensional electronic spectroscopy, uniquely combining temporal and spectral resolution. Our ultrabroadband pulses cover both transverse and longitudinal nanorods’ resonances, revealing sub‐200‐fs dynamics and distinct broadening mechanisms.

Properties of the Long-Term Oscillations in the Middle Atmosphere Based on Observations from TIMED/SABER Instrument and FPI over Kelan

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2017
The properties of the long-term oscillations in the middle atmosphere have been investigated using the Sounding of the Atmosphere using Broadband Emission Radiometry (SABER) temperature data and Fabry–Perot interferometer (FPI) data.

Vat Photopolymerized HEMA/HEA Hydrogels for Solvent‐Responsive Transparency and Optical Encryption

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Vat‐photopolymerized HEMA/HEA hydrogels exhibit reversible transparency‐opacity switching via hydration‐induced microphase separation and solvent exchange. The printed materials enable hydration sensing, optical encryption, and information storage, while maintaining high ductility and reversible rheology.

Active damping control of multi-scale oscillations in new energy grid connection considering wideband negative resistance characteristics

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Due to the stochasticity and complexity of renewable energy grid-connected systems, conventional control methods are limited to single-frequency-point regulation and lack broadband adaptability, making it difficult to effectively suppress wideband ...

Ultrafast broadband optical spectroscopy for quantifying subpicometric coherent atomic displacements in WTe_{2}

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2019
Here we show how time-resolved broadband optical spectroscopy can be used to quantify, with femtometer resolution, the oscillation amplitudes of coherent phonons through a displacive model without free tuning parameters, except an overall scaling factor ...

Comparison of VP broadband tiltmeter and VS vertical pendulum tiltmeter

open access: yesGeodesy and Geodynamics, 2015
Vertical pendulum (VP) tiltmeter is a kind of earthquake precursor observation equipment, which is used to record the interaction force associated with astronomical tidal tilts caused.
