A liénard oscillator resonant tunnelling diode-laser diode hybrid integrated circuit: model and experiment [PDF]
We report on a hybrid optoelectronic integrated circuit based on a resonant tunnelling diode driving an optical communications laser diode. This circuit can act as a voltage controlled oscillator with optical and electrical outputs.

Chemically Programmable Underwater Sound‐Absorbing Metamaterial via MXene Self‐Assembly
MXene self‐assembly creates a chemically programmable underwater metamaterial with quasi‐periodic layers and a chemical‐physical multi‐level constraint system. A crosslinker as a ‘chemical scissor’ precisely edits microscopic interactions, exciting deep‐subwavelength strong local resonances that induce near‐zero/negative effective bulk modulus (Keff ...

Light and Dark Cycles Control the Structural Evolution of Photoresponsive Supramolecular Systems
Here, we report a photoswitchable synthetic peptide that, under light energy cycles, exhibits supramolecular polymorphism coupled to darkness‐driven structural self‐selection. We demonstrate that light sustains a transient assembled state in the form of helical nanoribbons, hindering the system from undergoing a transition to the disassembled state ...

Observing backfolded and unfolded acoustic phonons by broadband optical light scattering
We use broadband time domain Brillouin scattering to observe coherently generated phonon modes in bulk and nanolayered samples. We transform the measured transients into a frequency wavevector diagram and compare the resulting dispersion relations to ...

Described herein is the development of an organic eutectic gel based on a deep eutectic mixture of naturally derived betaine and lactic acid. The eutectic gels exhibit reversible color‐switching in response to multiple stimuli including strain, UV light, and temperature, enabling advanced applications in information security, intelligent wearable ...

Rapid Fragment Screening by 19F Steady‐State Free Precession NMR
19F$^{19}{\rm F}$ SSFP NMR is a broadband and very sensitive experiment for detecting protein–ligand interactions. The method enables rapid fragment screening at low micromolar protein concentrations, even for challenging drug targets such as intrinsically disordered proteins.

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Broadband Tuning (170nm) of InGaAs Quantum Well Lasers [PDF]
The wavelength tuning properties of strained InGaAs quantum well lasers using an external grating for feedback is reported. Tunable laser oscillation has been observed over a range of 170 nm, between 840 and 1010 nm, under pulsed current excitation.
