High-frequency broadband transducers of ultrasonic oscillations

Acoustical Physics, 2009
The amplitude-frequency responses (AFRs) of ultrasonic oscillation transducers based on piezoelectric lithium iodate crystals of hexagonal modification and on magnetic soft ferrite powders are experimentally studied. The possibility to control the efficiency of magnetostriction powder transducers (MPTs) by variation in the value and orientation of the ...

Study on broadband millimeter wave oscillators

[Conference Digest] International Conference on Millimeter Wave and Far-Infrared Technology: ICMWFT '90, 1989
In this paper, the calculation of external circuit impedances looking outside from the active device in a millimeter wave oscillator cavity, as well as the optimal design of the bias coaxial-line filter, have been studied. Based on the theoretical study, Ka-band oscillators have been developed.

Broadband Tunable Oscillator with Two MSW Resonators

19th European Microwave Conference, 1989, 1989
A broadband tunable oscillator with two MSW resonators has been developed. The resonators with different sizes of YIG films are placed in the same magnetic field. The tunable bandwidth extends over 2 octaves up to 20 GHz.

Local oscillator synthesiser module for broadband applications

IET Seminar on Wideband Receivers & Components, 2008
The design and measurement of a Local Oscillator Synthesiser Module for Broadband Applications is described in this paper. Broadband receivers require local oscillators whenever heterodyning is utilised in receiver architectures to convert frequency signal to an intermediate-frequency (IF) spectrum for ease of signal processing.

Broadband Chaotic Oscillations in a Weakly Coupled Ensemble of Self-Sustained Oscillators

Technical Physics Letters, 2019
An ensemble of van der Pol oscillators coupled in a ring has been numerically simulated. Peculiarities of chaotic dynamics have been studied by analysis of Fourier spectra and Lyapunov exponents. It is established that chaotic dynamics appearing upon the breakup of multifrequency tori is characterized by a broadband spectrum.

A novel tunable optical oscillator for broadband signals

Optics & Laser Technology, 2012
Abstract A tunable optical oscillator that generates signals at the micro- to millimeter-wave band for wireless communication applications is suggested. It uses directly modulated semiconductor lasers, in which sideband modes and four-wave mixing (FWM) conjugate modes are injection locked by the simple control of the applied modulation power.

Broadband Mamyshev Oscillator at 1.7 μm

CLEO 2024
We demonstrate a single-pulse Mamyshev oscillator at 1.7 μm using Tm-doped fiber. The results of 5.4-MHz repetition rate and 95-nm optical spectrum bandwidth at 10 dB highlight its potential application for nonlinear microscopy.

Broadband Hyperchaotic Oscillator With Delay Line

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2002
Dynamical systems with time delay can be employed as high dimensional hyperchaotic oscillators with multiple positive Lyapunov exponents. We describe an electronic circuit composed of a 3‐stage amplifier and a delay line in the feedback loop. The 1st stage of the amplifier is a nonlinear one while the 2nd and the 3rd stages are linear ones.

Experimental Duffing oscillator for broadband piezoelectric energy harvesting

Smart Materials and Structures, 2011
This paper presents an experimental piezoelectric energy harvester exhibiting strong mechanical nonlinear behavior. Vibration energy harvesters are usually resonant mechanical systems working at resonance. The resulting mechanical amplification gives an output power multiplied by the mechanical quality factor Q when compared to non-resonant systems ...

Broadbanding of a Submillimetre-Wave Backward-Wave Oscillator

7th European Microwave Conference, 1977, 1977
As a consequence of the interest shown by astronomers for observation on board a space platform in the submillimetre-wave range, the European Space Agency has initiated a research and development programme on components required for advanced submillimetre-wave heterodyne detection and particularly on the local oscillator. In order to cover the spectral
