Electrically Tunable On‐Chip Topological Photonics with Integrated Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates electrically tunable on‐chip topological THz devices by integrating 2D carbon nanotube (CNT) sheets with valley‐Hall photonic crystals, enabling broadband transmission modulation (71% modulation depth) and tunable narrowband filtering (0.54 GHz shift) through electrically induced thermal tuning. This advancement paves the way for

Properties and technical applications of antenna arrays focused on a broadband signal

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы
Background. Currently, antenna arrays focused in the near-radiated field zone are being actively studied. The basic properties and characteristics of focused antenna systems using narrowband signals are known.

Time reversal of broadband microwave signals

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
The optically assisted time reversal of broadband microwave signals is demonstrated. Time reversal is obtained by imposing a wideband optical chirp onto the microwave signal followed by optical dispersion.

Multiband Switchable Microwave Absorbing Metamaterials Based on Reconfigurable Kirigami–Origami

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable metamaterial featuring tunable microwave‐absorbing and load‐bearing performance is proposed. Stretchable kirigami and bistable origami configurations are integrated as actuating components, and the synergistic deformation mechanisms are systematically analyzed.

Photonic Engineering Enables All‐Passive Upconversion Imaging with Low‐Intensity Near‐Infrared Light

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A passive upconversion imaging system enables the observation of scenes illuminated by low‐intensity incoherent near‐infrared light from 750 to 930 nm, by converting it into the visible without the use of external power. The upconverter is enabled by triplet–triplet annihilation in a bulk heterojunction, with absorption enhanced by plasmonic resonators

Low phase-shift amplifier [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Single-stage MOSFET amplifier is described which is identical to standard neutralized amplifier except that neutralization provided by broadband transformer is applied to AGC gate instead of signal gate.

The Realization of Multidirectional, Free‐Standing 3D Plasmonic Nanostructures via 3D Nanoprinting: A Case Study of Fractal Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Free‐standing plasmonic gold‐based fractal antennas are fabricated by 3D nanoprinting, employing focused electron beam induced deposition and an optimized purification method to remove carbon while conserving structural fidelity. Simulation and experiment show broadband plasmonic activity, including customizable polarizability, thereby paving the way ...

Bottom interaction effects on broadband signals [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1987
This paper examines recent progress toward understanding the effects of the seafloor on low-frequency broadband signals. First, the major bottom interaction processes affecting low-frequency signals are reviewed and a simplified (single layer fluid) geoacoustic profile is shown to accurately predict their effects.

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...
