Remote Sensing‐Based Identification of Habitat Loss for Herbivorous Waterbirds Driven by Wetland Inundation Alterations

Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
We present a deep learning framework integrating remote sensing and SHAP interpretation to map 22‐year habitat dynamics of herbivorous waterbirds in Dongting Lake. Results show nearly 50% habitat loss, driven primarily by hydrological recession timing rather than static inundation extent.
