Sustained Self‐Powered Real‐Time Vibration Monitoring Through Integrated Nonlinear Harvesting and Energy‐Aware Wireless Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐powered vibration sensing platform integrates a quasi‐zero‐stiffness piezoelectric harvester, synchronized electric charge extraction, energy management, and wireless ADC acquisition. Ambient vibration is simultaneously harvested as energy and digitized as information, enabling sustained real‐time waveform monitoring without external power.

VlPAG/DRN Microglia Drive Neuropathic Pain‐Induced Depression via a Defined Neuroimmune Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peripheral nerve injury (SNI) induces neuropathic pain, activates midbrain microglia, and triggers an NLRP3–IL‐1β–dependent inflammatory cascade. IL‐1β signals through IL‐1R1 on vlPAG/DRN VGLUT2+ neurons (vlPAG/DRNGlu), inducing hyperexcitability and driving the vlPAG/DRNGlu→BNSTGABA circuit to produce the affective component of neuropathic pain ...

Dual‐Organelle Secretome Conjugation and Organ‐Uptake Tracking (DuO‐SCOUT) Enables Deep and Sensitive Mapping of the Secreted Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel dual‐organelle proximity labeling platform, DuO‐SCOUT, decodes the complex landscape of systemic organ‐organ communication by capturing both classical and unconventional secretomes. Application in metabolic models maps the adipose‐to‐brain secretory relay, identifying selective extra‐hypothalamic sites for adipose‐derived factors and expanding ...

Synchronization Mechanisms for Multi-User and Multi-Device Hybrid Broadcast and Broadband Distributed Scenarios

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Traditionally, co-located TV content consumption has been a social habit (e.g., family members in the living room watching TV). It cannot be always possible to enjoy these shared experiences in the current global society, in which relatives or friends ...

INFLUNCE OF GROWING FAHL BERSEEM ON IMPROVING SOME PROPERTIES AND THE PRODUCTIVITY OF NEWLY RECLAIMED SOILS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Production, 2013
Two  winter Fahl berseem field experiments were conducted in two newly reclaimed soils, at Ismailia and New valley Agricultural Research stations  during (2009/10 and 2010/11) seasons. This was to study the effect of planting methods and seeding rates on ...

People Counting and Positioning Using Low‐Resolution Infrared Images for FeFET‐Based In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low‐resolution infrared imaging is combined with a 28 nm FeFET IMC architecture to enable compact, energy‐efficient edge inference. MLC FeFET devices are experimentally characterized, and controlled multi‐level current accumulation is validated at crossbar array level.

Packet Multicast in Cognitive Radio Ad Hoc Networks: A Method Based on Random Network Coding

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper studies packet multicast technology in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRAHNs) by using a random network coding (RNC)-based approach. We first specify the key problem of packet multicast applications in CRAHNs, called multichannel single-hop ...

How Competitive Is Myanmar's Rice Sector? A Comparison of Production Costs and Efficiency

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper analyzes the cost competitiveness of rice production in Myanmar by examining production costs, cost efficiency, and the potential effect of improving cost efficiency on the country's global competitiveness. To achieve this, we conduct a comparative analysis of production costs among major rice‐producing countries and estimate the ...

Programmable Flocks: Hierarchical Swarm Control via Dynamic Parameter Injection

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We present a method for the control of robot swarms which allows the shaping and the translation of patterns of simple robots (“smart particles”), using two types of devices. These two types represent a hierarchy: a larger group of simple, oblivious robots (which we call the workers) that is governed by simple local attraction forces and a smaller ...
