Broadcast versus precise ephemerides: a multi-GNSS perspective

open access: closedGPS Solutions, 2014
A consistent analysis of signal-in-space ranging errors (SISREs) is presented for all current satellite navigation systems, considering both global average values and worst-user-location statistics. The analysis is based on 1 year of broadcast ephemeris messages of the Global Positioning System (GPS), GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS collected with a ...

Accuracy Assessment of Broadcast Ephemerides for Quasi-Zenith Satellite System

open access: closed, 2018
In this paper, we presented a method for assessing the broadcast ephemerides accuracy of QZSS by comparing the measured broadcast ephemerides with precise orbit and clock products provided by MGEX. By using this method, we carried out assessment of broadcast ephemerides for QZS-1 satellite and also compared the results with that of GPS system during ...

Accuracy evaluation of Doresa and Milena Galileo satellites broadcast ephemerides

open access: closed2018 IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for the Sea; Learning to Measure Sea Health Parameters (MetroSea), 2018
On 22 August 2014 Doresa and Milena Galileo satellites were launched in wrong orbit. In November 2014 European space agency started a salvaged mission to make two satellites usable. On 5 August 2016 these two satellites started broadcasting ephemerides in navigation message for testing purposes.

Effect of broadcast and precise ephemerides on estimates of the frequency stability of GPS Navstar clocks

open access: closedInternational Journal of Satellite Communications, 1994
AbstractFrequency stability analysis of on‐orbit Navstar clocks is performed by the Naval Research Laboratory using both the broadcast and the precise post‐processed ephemerides. The phase offset between the Navstar clock and the reference clock is computed from pseudorange measurements obtained by dual‐frequency GPS receivers at the five GPS monitor ...
