Doppler shift estimation using broadcast ephemeris in satellite optical communication

2016 25th Wireless and Optical Communication Conference (WOCC), 2016
There is severe Doppler shift in satellite optical communication, which greatly affects the coherent demodulation and should be eliminated. This paper is a preliminary study of the optical phase-locked loop, using the broadcast ephemeris to estimate the Doppler shift and pulling it down into a range in which it can be captured by digital processing.

An 18-element GEO broadcast ephemeris based on non-singular elements

GPS Solutions, 2014
Compass/Beidou2 uses uniform GPS-type broadcast ephemerides for its mixed constellation, which consists of geostationary earth orbit (GEO), inclined geosynchronous orbit and medium earth orbit satellites. The ephemeris parameters adopted by Compass are singular for the small inclinations of GEOs, and some intermediate orbital planes are currently used ...

Integrity monitoring of NavIC by parsing broadcast ephemeris

Journal of Applied Geodesy, 2023
Abstract Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) are used to provide position estimation to the users. These navigation systems must meet the required navigation parameters (RNP) parameters. Among them integrity being the important parameter, defined as a navigation system’s honesty of the information provided to the user by ...

A broadcast ephemeris design of LEO navigation augmentation satellites based on the integration-type ephemeris model

Measurement Science and Technology, 2021
Abstract Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites are a promising type of navigation augmentation satellite for current global navigation satellite systems. Aiming at the navigation function, an effective broadcast ephemeris model needs to be designed for LEO satellites.

Performance Evaluation of the CNAV Broadcast Ephemeris

Journal of Navigation, 2019
The new Global Positioning System (GPS) Civil Navigation Message (CNAV) has been transmitted by Block IIR-M and Block IIF satellites since April 2014, both on the L2C and L5 signals. Compared to the Legacy Navigation Message (LNAV), the CNAV message provides six additional parameters (two orbit parameters and four Inter-Signal Correction (ISC ...

Analysis and Modeling of GLONASS Broadcast Ephemeris Errors

2012
One of the most problems in GNSS application is to obtained high precision ephemeris. In this paper, the error characters of GLONASS broadcast ephemeris (GBE) are analyzed carefully. one week data of all healthy orbiting satellites from GBE are calculated and their errors are figured out.

A parallel GPS satellite positioning algorithm based on broadcast ephemeris

2015 8th International Congress on Image and Signal Processing (CISP), 2015
GPS is an all-round, all-weather, real-time satellite navigation and positioning system. GPS satellite positioning based on broadcast ephemeris is to calculate satellite coordinates using relevant parameters obtained from broadcast ephemeris after broadcast ephemeris were analyzed.

Optimal design of broadcast ephemeris parameters for a navigation satellite system

GPS Solutions, 2011
Computation of broadcast ephemerides is a fundamental task in satellite navigation and positioning. The GPS constellation is composed of medium-earth-orbit (MEO) satellites, and therefore can employ a uniform parameter set to produce broadcast ephemerides.
