Terrestrial broadcast technologies for next generation broadcast wireless systems
2015 IEEE International Conference on Communication Workshop (ICCW), 2015The next generation broadcast wireless (NGB-W) system is aimed to provide high-speed, ubiquitous, and secure tri-play services to massive users. In this paper, a new terrestrial broadcast solution for the NGB-W system is proposed. The system and the key techniques of the proposed solution are introduced.

A Layered Broadcast Cryptographic System
1984A new type of cryptosystem is presented that may find application in broadcast communication networks and database systems. To date, all proposals for such systems have either been shown to be weak under cryptanalytic attack or to possess undesirable characteristics such as data expansion.

The Wakeup Problem in Synchronous Broadcast Systems
SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics, 2001Summary: This paper studies the differences between two levels of synchronization in a distributed broadcast system (or a multiple-access channel). In the globally synchronous model, all processors have access to a global clock. In the locally synchronous model, processors have local clocks ticking at the same rate, but each clock starts individually ...

The LIMSI Broadcast News transcription system
Speech Communication, 2002Summary: This paper reports on activites at LIMSI over the last few years directed at the transcription of broadcast news data. We describe our development work in moving from laboratory read speech data to real-world or `found' speech data in preparation for the DARPA evaluations on this task from 1996 to 1999. Two main problems needed to be addressed
