Lixiviação de trifluralin, atrazine e bromacil em três diferentes solos Leaching of trifluralin, atrazine and bromacil in three different soils

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 1978
Foi estudada a taxa de lixiviação dos herbicidas trifluralin. atrazine e bromacil em três la. tossolos de texturas diferentes, utilizando-se as doses normais de uso de cada um.

Leveraging Molecular Mechanics With the uESE Continuum Solvation Model for Efficient Solvation Free Energy Prediction: Impact of Conformation and Extensive Validation. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Comput Chem
A computationally efficient method is validated for predicting solvation free energies. Using molecular mechanics geometries with the uESE model, our approach provides accurate, high‐throughput data ideal for physics‐informed machine learning and other computational chemistry applications. ABSTRACT The solvation free energy is a fundamental property of

A pilot study to assess the influence of infiltrated stormwater on groundwater: Hydrology and trace organic contaminants. [PDF]

open access: yesWater Environ Res, 2022
Stormwater runoff is a source of trace organic contaminants, but the implications of contaminant loading to receiving groundwaters from infiltration practices are rarely studied. Results from our pilot study indicate that although relatively few contaminants were detected in groundwater near underground infiltration basins (UIBs), many questions are ...

An Urban Stormwater Contaminant Signature: Defining Priority Contaminants for Urban Stormwater Research. [PDF]

open access: yesWater Environ Res
We identified a core suite of frequently detected contaminants in urban stormwater ponds using three complementary sampling methods. This urban stormwater contaminant signature (USCS) highlights cumulative exposures in pond ecosystems and supports more targeted monitoring of urban runoff.

Matrix effects demystified: Strategies for resolving challenges in analytical separations of complex samples

open access: yesJournal of Separation Science, Volume 46, Issue 23, December 2023., 2023
Matrix effects can significantly impede the accuracy, sensitivity, and reliability of separation techniques presenting a formidable challenge to the analytical process. It is crucial to address matrix effects to achieve accurate and precise measurements in complex matrices.

Freshwater mussels and host fish gut microbe community composition shifts after agricultural contaminant exposure

open access: yesJournal of Applied Microbiology, Volume 133, Issue 6, Page 3645-3658, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Aims We examined the effects of a mixture of contaminants found in agricultural watersheds on the gut microbiota and physiology of both the freshwater mussel Lampsilis cardium, and L. cardium host fish Micropterus salmoides. Methods and results Lampsilis cardium and M. salmoides were exposed to three concentrations of agricultural contaminants

Risk‐Based Prioritization of Organic Chemicals and Locations of Ecological Concern in Sediment From Great Lakes Tributaries

open access: yesEnvironmental Toxicology and Chemistry, Volume 41, Issue 4, Page 1016-1041, April 2022., 2022
Relative priority for bioeffects due to organic chemical exposure in sediment from Great Lakes tributaries. Abstract With improved analytical techniques, environmental monitoring studies are increasingly able to report the occurrence of tens or hundreds of chemicals per site, making it difficult to identify the most relevant chemicals from a biological

[Retracted] Abnormal Concentration Detection Method of Chemical Pollutants Based on Multisensor Fusion

open access: yesJournal of Sensors, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
China is a big industrial producer, but also a big producer and user of chemical materials. Although the use of chemical materials has improved the level of industrialization, it has also caused harm to the environment and ecosystem. With the acceleration of China’s industrialization, more and more attention has been paid to the problem of chemical ...

Degradation of bromacil by a Pseudomonas sp [PDF]

open access: yesApplied and Environmental Microbiology, 1988
A gram-negative rod, identified as a Pseudomonas sp., was isolated from soil by using bromacil as the sole source of carbon and energy. During growth on bromacil or 5-bromouracil, almost stoichiometric amounts of bromide were released. The bacterium was shown to harbor two plasmids approximately 60 and 100 kilobases in size.
