Stress corrosion crack inhibiting method for titanium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Addition of oxyanions to liquid solvents in excess of the number of chloride, bromide, or iodide ions present prevents cracking of titanium-aluminum alloys under exposure to aqueous and other solvent environments.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Hydraulic Parameters Sensitivity Analysis of Porous Media at Inverse Solution of Bromide Transport

open access: yesعلوم آب و خاک, 2019
Simulation of water and salt transfer in soil is very effective in managing optimal water and fertilizer use in the field. In this study, the HYDRUS-1D model was used to simulate the transfer of water and bromide in a laboratory column of soil with clay ...

Effects of Dietary Bromide, Magnesium and Tryptophan and Immunocastration on Growth Performance and Behaviour of Entire Male Pigs

open access: yesAnimals
The growth of boars may be inhibited because of aggressive and/or sexual activity. Dietary Br, Mg and tryptophan (Trp) as well as immunocastration may reduce these behaviours. In Experiment 1, 200 boars and 40 barrows were allocated to six groups of four

2-Cyanoanilinium bromide

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
In the cation of the title compound, C7H7N2+·Br−, the nitrile group and the benzene ring are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0043 Å). In the crystal, the cations and anions are connected by intermolecular N&

From Low Symmetry to High Dissymmetry: Chiral Plasmonic Films of Binary and Nanobipyramid Assemblies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops highly dissymmetric chiral plasmonic thin films by helically assembling gold nano bipyramids within a liquid‐crystal template. Engineering of the chiroptical response is achieved by varying particle size and geometry, as well as preparing binary assemblies.
