Toxic impact of bromide and iodide on drinking water disinfected with chlorine or chloramines.
Environmental Science and Technology, 2014Disinfectants inactivate pathogens in source water; however, they also react with organic matter and bromide/iodide to form disinfection byproducts (DBPs).

BROMIDE DELIRIUM AND OTHER BROMIDE PSYCHOSES
American Journal of Psychiatry, 1933Seven cases of bromide delirium and one case of bromide hallucinosis are presented. In addition to the commonly known symptoms of delirium, the patients in the delirious group showed to a noteworthy extent two disturbances. (1) Disturbances of sensation (referring not to hallucinations, but to subjective difficulty in recognizing colors, macropsia ...

Density measurements were carried out for aqueous solutions of two cationic surfactants: dodecylethyldimethylammonium bromide (C(12)(EDMAB)) and benzyldimethyldodecylammonium bromide (BDDAB). On the basis of the obtained results of the measurements the CMC and partial molar volumes of the surfactants studied were also determined.

In this work we used CH3NH3PbInBr3–n (where 0 ≤ n ≤ 3) as hole conductor and light harvester in the solar cell. Various concentrations of methylammonium iodide and methylammonium bromide were studied which reveal that any composition of the hybrid ...

Publisher Summary This chapter presents a description of Rocuronium bromide, which is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent that produces rapid muscle relaxation after being injected intravenously. Furthermore, it is an aminosteroid neuromuscular blocking agent that has a propenyl (–CH2–CH¼CH2) group on its active quaternary nitrogen atom ...

Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs, 2001
Tiotropium bromide is a new long-lasting anticholinergic drug which, like ipratropium bromide, is a quaternary ammonium derivative. It binds with high affinity to muscarinic receptors but dissociates very slowly from M(1)- and M(3)-muscarinic receptors.

Rapacuronium bromide (Raplon; Organon Inc, West Orange, NJ) is a new, fast-onset, short-duration surgical muscle relaxant. While anesthesia providers are learning how to use this new relaxant, PACU nurses must become aware of the potential problems associated with rapacuronium.
