The asymmetric unit of the hydrated title compound, C26H42N62+·2Br−·1.5H2O, comprises one cation, two bromide anions and one and a half water molecules, as one water molecule is fully occupied and the other is only half occupied [0.500 (6)]. Both bromide

The formation of carcinogenic bromate ions is a constraint when ozone is used for the remediation of water containing brominated organic materials. With its strong oxidizing ability, ozone rapidly transforms bromide in aqueous media to bromate, through a

A New Monomeric Interpretation of Intrinsic Optical Bistability Observed in Yb3+ - Doped Bromide Materials [PDF]
We present a mechanism able to show intrinsic bistable behaviour involving single Yb3+ ions embedded into bromide lattices, in which intrinsic optical bistability (IOB) has been observed. The mechanism is based on the experimentally found coupling between the Yb3+ ion and the totally symmetric local mode of vibration of the [YbBr6]3- coordination unit.

UV photodissociation of methyl bromide and methyl bromide cation studied by velocity map imaging [PDF]
We employ the velocity map imaging technique to measure kinetic energy and angular distributions of state selected CH3 (v2=0,1,2,3) and Br (2P3/2,2P1/2) photofragments produced by methyl bromide photolysis at 215.9 nm. These results show unambiguously that the Br and Br* forming channels result in different vibrational excitation of the umbrella mode ...

Pressure-Induced Emission (PIE) of One-Dimensional Organic Tin Bromide Perovskites.
Low-dimensional halide perovskites easily suffer from the structural distortion related to significant quantum confinement effects. Organic tin bromide perovskite C4N2H14SnBr4 is a unique one-dimensional (1D) structure in which the edge sharing ...

Compatibilization of HDPE/agar biocomposites with eutectic-based ionic liquid containing surfactant [PDF]
In this research, eutectic-based ionic liquid specifically choline chloride/glycerol was prepared at a 1:2 mole ratio. The choline chloride/glycerol was added with the different content of surfactant (hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide). The choline chloride/glycerol-hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide was introduced into high-density polyethylene/agar ...

Composition, Size, and Surface Functionalization dependent Optical Properties of Lead Bromide Perovskite Nanocrystals [PDF]
The photoluminescence (PL), color purity, and stability of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals depend critically on the surface passivation. We present a study on the temperature dependent PL and PL decay dynamics of lead bromide perovskite nanocrystals characterized by different types of A cations, surface ligands, and nanocrystal sizes.

6H-Dipyrido[1,2-a:2′,1′-d][1,3,5]triazin-5-ium bromide monohydrate
In the cation of the title compound, C11H10N3+·Br−·H2O, the central 1,3,5-triazinium ring has a flattened boat conformation and the outer heterocyclic rings are nearly planar [maximum deviations = 0.010 (4) and 0.009 (4) Å] and twisted with respect to ...
