A Selective Removal of Benzyl Protecting Groups in Arylphosphate Esters with Bromotrimethylsilane
Synthetic Communications, 1992Abstract Bromotrimethylsilane (BTMS) is shown to be an effectively selective reagent for the debenzylation of dibenzyl arylphosphate esters to give the corresponding arylphosphate acids and does not affect other functional groups also present in the molecular structure.

31P NMR kinetic study of the tandem cleavage of phosphonate esters by bromotrimethylsilane
Tetrahedron, 2010Abstract 1H and 31P NMR methods have been used to access rate constants and activation parameters for each of the consecutive second-order silylation reactions involved in the overall transformation (1a→3a→4a), while computational optimisation of the rate constants obtained from the initial, linear phase of each reaction has permitted an excellent ...

Further synthetic potential of halotrimethylsilane-nitrate salt mixture is revealed. A mixture of TMSX-Cu(NO3)2.3H2O system is found to be an efficient reagent system for both the decarboxylative nitration (ipso-nitration) when X = Cl, and dibromination of cinnamic acids, with X = Br, under mild conditions.

Abstract A new strategy to prepare pyrophosphate analogues through selective and quantitative cleavage of N -( O -alkylsulfamoyl)trialkylphospha-λ 5 -azene esters (R–O–SO 2 –NP(OR′) 3 ) has been developed. Using pure bromotrimethylsilane, N -( O -alkyl-sulfamoyl)tristrimethylsilylphospha-λ 5 -azenes (R–O–SO 2 –NP(OSiMe 3 ) 3 ) have been easily ...
