A novel styrenic monomer bearing gem‐bisphosphonate groups is synthesized in a single step. The nitroxide‐mediated (co)polymerization of this monomer proceeds in a well‐controlled manner, yielding bisphosphonate‐functionalized (co)polymers with low dispersity.

A self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) hole transport material: F‐MeO‐3PABCz. This fluorine‐substituted carbazole design achieves triple functionality: (1) defect passivation via optimized energy alignment, (2) enhanced hole extraction through directed assembly, and (3) superior stability from fluorine‐induced hydrophobicity. The result is a power conversion

Synthesis and Characterization of a Phosphonated Graft Copolyimide [PDF]
A new synthesis route of phosphonated multiblock, branched copolyimide is proposed in this research. The synthesis and characterization of the series of new phosphonated graft copolyimides were prepared by combination of one-step high temperature ...

ABSTRACT Upconverting nanoparticles (UCNPs) have attracted much attention in nanomedicine due to their ability to upconvert photons. However, their adverse effects hinder the biomedical applications. In this paper, bisphosphonate‐modified poly(isobutylene‐alt‐maleic acid)‐graft‐poly(N,N‐dimethylacrylamide)‐coated NaYF4:Yb,Er,Pr UCNPs (UCNP@PIMAPDMA ...

Acyclic Nucleoside Phosphonates As Potential Inhibitors of Plasmodium Falciparum Egress
Exploration of the chemistry of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates allowed us to study structural diversity from the hit compound; biological evaluation and molecular docking were performed to decipher key interactions with the putative target. Abstract The emergence of drug‐resistant Plasmodium strains requires the development of novel antimalarial ...

Isomerized Conjugated Molecules as Hole‐Selective Contacts for Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells
A BTBT (benzothieno[3,2‐b]benzothiophene) isomeric derivative, (2‐(benzo[b]benzo[4,5]thieno[2,3‐d]thiophen‐4‐yl)ethyl)phosphonic acid (BTBT‐Z), is reported. BTBT‐Z adopts a zig‐zag configuration with a sulfur opposite to the anchoring group. This structure enhances its interaction with the perovskite layer, improving crystallization and thin‐film ...

Novel C1'‐branched acyclic nucleoside phosphonates were synthesized. The compounds are inhibitors of Plasmodium falciparum and human 6‐oxopurine phosphoribosyltransferases with Ki values as low as 0.4 µM and 0.7 µM, respectively. A phosphonodiamidate prodrug exhibited IC50 = 4.3 µM against a drug‐sensitive strain of P.

Design, synthesis, and antimicrobial evaluation of a novel bone-targeting bisphosphonate-ciprofloxacin conjugate for the treatment of osteomyelitis biofilms [PDF]
Osteomyelitis is a major problem worldwide and is devastating due to the potential for limb-threatening sequelae and mortality. Osteomyelitis pathogens are bone-attached biofilms, making antibiotic delivery challenging.
