(Ph3P)4C4P4: Effect of substitution on the Oligomerization of carbon phosphide radicals

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 3, Issue 1, January 13, 2025.
In contrast to P,N phases, the respective P,C phases are relatively underexplored. In this work, the synthetic access to a phosphine‐stabilized P4C4 cage compound is described. This species originates from the dimerization of a fleeting intermediate, namely a phosphine‐substituted four‐membered C2P2 biradicaloid. This intermediate could be trapped with

Structure‐Based Design of Ultrapotent Tricyclic Ligands for FK506‐Binding Proteins

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 45, August 12, 2024.
A novel rigid, sp3‐rich tricyclic scaffold has been designed as a module for the development of FKBP small molecule ligands and molecular glues. Structure‐based design enabled the synthesized scaffold to precisely lock all functional groups for the optimal interaction with the protein target.

Multifunctional Fluoropolymer‐Engineered Magnetic Nanoparticles to Facilitate Blood‐Brain Barrier Penetration and Effective Gene Silencing in Medulloblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 25, July 3, 2024.
Medulloblastoma is the most common pediatric brain malignancy. Here, multifunctional theranostic nanoparticles capable of 1)blood‐brain barrier penetration, 2) contrast enhancement of brain tumors (magnetic resonance imaging), and 3) superb short interference RNA delivery is presented in vitro and in vivo (orthotopic mouse model).

Tumor Exosomal ENPP1 Hydrolyzes cGAMP to Inhibit cGAS‐STING Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 20, May 28, 2024.
ENPP1 proteins are secreted by various tumor cells to the extracellular space via the exosomes and ENPP1 highly enriched in these exosomes. To evade immune surveillance, tumor exosomal ENPP1 can effectively hydrolyze extracellular 2′3′‐cGAMP or 2′3′‐cGAMP bound to LL‐37 (an effective transporter of 2′3′‐cGAMP) to inhibit cGAS‐STING pathway in immune ...

Phosphonium‐substituted Diphosphaindenylide (PPI): Exploration of Biradical Character and Ligand Properties

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 7, February 1, 2024.
The synthesis of a phosphonium‐substituted diphosphaindenylide, PPI, is reported. Introduction of two P atoms to the indenyl core results in considerable biradical character. Moreover, the ligand properties of PPI are investigated using a chromium tricarbonyl complex as model compound.

One‐Pot Synthesis of Bioinspired Peptide‐Decorated Apatite Nanoparticles for Nanomedicine

open access: yesSmall, Volume 20, Issue 8, February 22, 2024.
Bio‐inspired peptide‐phosphate calcium apatite nanomaterials are obtained by one‐pot co‐precipitation of phosphonated polyethylene glycol‐peptide conjugates. Monomodal colloidal suspension is stabilized by the peptide corona which dictates the size of the particles and anchors through the phosphonate end group.
