Stereoselective synthesis of enantiopure cyclic α‐aminophosphonic acids: Direct observation of inversion at phosphorus in phosphonate ester silyldealkylation by bromotrimethylsilane

open access: yesHeteroatom Chemistry, 2008
AbstractThe paper describes a simple, direct synthesis of enantiopure cyclic α‐aminophosphonic acids on the basis of silyldealkylation and followed by hydrolysis of the parent diastereoisomeric cyclic 1,4,2‐oxazaphosphorines, which have been obtained by intramolecular stereospecific nucleophilic addition of phosphites to imines.

Crystal structures of type-II inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase INPP5B with synthetic inositol polyphosphate surrogates reveal new mechanistic insights for the inositol 5-phosphatase family [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatase INPP5B hydrolyzes the 5-phosphate group from water- and lipid-soluble signaling messengers. Two synthetic benzene and biphenyl polyphosphates (BzP/BiPhPs), simplified surrogates of inositol phosphates and ...

Molecular Imaging Probes for N-Methyl-D-Aspartate Receptors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The non-invasive detection of neuronal transmission is of prime importance in order to understand brain function better. This will aid cognitive neuroscience, as well as medical science, in the early detection of diseased states.

Chemical approaches for the investigation of protein-lipid binding interactions synthesis, modification, and evaluation of novel azido-based lipid probes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Lipids such as diacylglycerol (DAG) and phosphatidic acid (PA) have been shown to play key roles in cell signaling events. The anchoring of proteins to the membrane via DAG or PA binding helps regulate protein function and localization and is also ...
