Macroscopical and histological characterization of the perineal membrane and deep perineal pouch

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, Volume 248, Issue 5, Page 755-765, May 2026.
The existence of the deep transverse perineal muscle remains controversial. While the macroscopic appearance of the tissue in the deep perineal pouch differs between men and women, the differences in the histological composition of this fibromuscular plate is still unclear.

Safety and feasibility of near‐infrared fluorescence imaging with inhaled indocyanine green to assess the pulmonary parenchyma in six normal dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Surgery, Volume 55, Issue 4, Page 771-780, May 2026.
Abstract Objective To assess the safety and feasibility of near‐infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging with inhaled indocyanine green (ICG) to visualize normal pulmonary parenchyma in dogs, report clinically useful information regarding dosage and timing of administration, and to evaluate effects on pulmonary function and tissue histology.

Thoracoscopic Bronchial Artery Resection for Multiple Bronchial Artery Aneurysms

open access: yesThoracoscopic Bronchial Artery Resection for Multiple Bronchial Artery Aneurysms
We describe a 36-year-old asymptomatic female with multiple bronchial artery aneurysms (BAAs) and a bronchial artery (BA) to pulmonary artery (PA) fistula. She was treated with thoracoscopic BA resection without lobectomy in lieu of catheter embolization as first-line treatment.
