Dieulafoy’s disease of the bronchus: rare but potentially fatal: a case report and a review of literature

open access: yesJournal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, 2023
Background Dieulafoy’s disease of the bronchus can cause massive and even fatal hemoptysis. Even though it is rare, it should be considered by physicians all over the world.

CT‐Guided Cryoablation Achieves Significantly Higher Local Tumor Control in Sub‐Solid Lung Tumors Compared With Solid Tumors: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 4, February 2026.
CT‐guided cryoablation is an effective and safe treatment for both solid and sub‐solid lung tumors, achieving 100% technical success. It demonstrates favorable local control, particularly for sub‐solid nodules, with a low rate of major complications.

A Case of Bronchial Dieulafoy's Disease Presenting as an Endobronchial Polypoid Lesion That Regressed After Bronchial Artery Embolisation

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Bronchial Dieulafoy's disease is extremely rare and characterised by a large‐calibre, submucosal artery lying just beneath the mucosa, predisposing to abrupt haemorrhage despite minimal or no mucosal defect. This case highlights the visual confirmation of lesion regression by bronchoscopy after bronchial artery embolisation.

Case Report: A rare case of hemoptysis: multiple vascular variations

open access: yesFrontiers in Medicine
Bronchial artery embolization (BAE) is an effective treatment for hemoptysis, with potential complications including pain and spinal ischemia. We report a rare case in which the right bronchial artery communicated with the right intercostal arteries, and

Primary Malignant Melanoma of the Lung With a Long‐Term Course: A Case Report

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
A 66‐year‐old man with a 20‐year history of recurrent haemoptysis presented with mild bronchiectasis and linear opacities detected on chest computed tomography (CT), and the lesion was followed up annually and gradually enlarged into a mass over 10 years.

Controlling hemoptysis: An alternative approach

open access: yesLung India, 2010
Hemoptysis is a very common symptom in the practice of pulmonary physicians of India. We present a case of uncontrolled hemoptysis managed with bronchial artery embolization.

Navigating complexity and sealing the threat: Ultrasound and CT guided percutaneous glue embolization of bronchial artery pseudoaneurysm with challenging anatomy

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Bronchial artery aneurysms are a rare vascular pathology, however bronchial artery pseudoaneurysms are even less commonly observed with minimal cases available in the literature.

A Case of Comprehensive Interventional Therapy for Bronchial Thromboembolism Caused by Hemoptysis

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
We report the case of a patient with massive hemoptysis from dual bronchial artery malformations that necessitated emergent embolization. Extensive jelly‐like endobronchial clots caused complete lobar collapse refractory to suction. We used cryoextraction to achieve rapid, en‐bloc removal of arborizing casts with prompt radiographic resolution ...

Singular observation of a desirable change after bronchial artery embolization for hemoptysis in intracavitary aspergilloma

open access: yesIndian Journal of Radiology and Imaging, 2017
Aspergillomas are fungal balls developing in pre-existing lung cavities, which are most commonly secondary to tuberculosis. Aspergillomas can cause hemoptysis due to erosion of the blood vessels in cavity walls, which can often be recurrent, massive, and

Halos and Hemoptysis: A Case of Intrapulmonary Sequestration Masquerading as a Pulmonary Aspergilloma

open access: yesCase Reports in Pulmonology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Introduction Bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) is a rare congenital malformation of the lung characterized by nonfunctional pulmonary tissue without communication to the tracheobronchial tree and with anomalous arterial supply. Intralobar sequestration (ILS), the more common form, typically presents in childhood or early adulthood.
