Haematopoietic stem cell transplant is associated with the development of pulmonary complications that contribute significantly to morbidity and mortality. This review highlights biomarkers measured in bronchoalveolar fluid and peripheral blood that may be utilised to predict, diagnose and guide therapy for these complications.
