Halophilic and Non‐Halophilic Microbial Communities in Relation to Physico‐Chemical Characteristics of Salt Mine Air

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 17, Issue 3, June 2025.
This study unveils the presence and densities of cultivable halophilic and non‐halophilic microorganisms present in the air sampled at four different sites of the Bochnia Salt Mine in Poland used for halotherapy. It highlights for the first time the presence of cultivable halophilic archaea in salt mine air in relation to the physico‐chemical ...

Enhancing the Precision and Efficiency of Pulmonary Tumor Detection With Robotic‐Assisted 18F‐FDG PET/CT‐Guided Lung Biopsy: A Case Report

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 16, Issue 11, June 2025.
For an aggressive pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma where prior cytology and biopsy failed, robotic 18F‐FDG PET/CT‐guided biopsy offered a solution. It enabled rapid, single‐adjustment targeting of metabolically active areas, leading to accurate diagnosis, MET mutation identification, and a positive treatment response with Bozitinib targeted therapy ...

Associations Between Leisure‐Time Physical Activity and Metabolomics‐Based Markers of Biological Aging in Late Midlife: Short‐Term and Long‐Term Follow‐Up

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2025.
PA may delay the onset of age‐related diseases by decelerating biological aging. We found that higher self‐reported amounts of PA in late midlife and device‐based PA in old age were associated with improved MetaboHealth and that reaching twice the amount of the current PA recommendations in late midlife may lead to decelerated biological aging.
