In COPD, extracellular matrix and elastin degradation increase elastin‐derived peptides (EDPs), which are associated with TLR4/NF‐κB activation, DKK1 upregulation, reduced β‐catenin signaling, and impaired AT2‐to‐AT1 differentiation. Neutralization of EDPs by TB partially restores β‐catenin‐associated alveolar epithelial differentiation and attenuates ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Dysregulated protease activity contributes to airway inflammation and tissue remodeling in cystic fibrosis (CF); however, the role of the lysosomal cysteine protease Cathepsin B (CTSB) remains incompletely defined. This cross‐sectional study investigates relationships between pro‐CTSB and mature CTSB activity with CF‐specific ...

Muddy Water Pneumonitis: An Emerging Occupational Lung Disease in Professional Divers
Chronic exposure to sediment‐rich river water in a professional diver led to progressive necrotizing lung injury mimicking tuberculosis. Bronchoalveolar lavage revealed Acinetobacter, highlighting a rare occupational cause of cavitary pneumonitis.

Rapid Progressive Dendriform Pulmonary Ossification due to Eosinophilic Pneumonia
A 55‐year‐old man with idiopathic eosinophilic pneumonia developed rapidly progressive dendriform pulmonary ossification with branching pulmonary calcifications on CT. Corticosteroid treatment improved both pulmonary consolidations and calcified lesions, suggesting that acute or immature pulmonary calcification may be reversible. ABSTRACT A 55‐year‐old
