The Role of Macrophage M1/M2 Polarization Imbalance in the Pathogenesis of Immune Associated Diffuse Alveolar Hemorrhage: Evidence From the Study of Human Clinical Specimens

open access: yesPediatric Pulmonology, Volume 61, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background An imbalance in M1/M2 macrophage polarization has been shown to play a critical role in the pathogenesis of diffuse alveolar hemorrhage (DAH) in mouse models. However, its contribution to immune‐associated DAH in humans remains unclear.

Recurrent Haemoptysis From Retained Endobronchial Sutures Successfully Managed Using Flexible Endobronchial Scissors

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
We report a rare case of recurrent haemoptysis caused by retained endobronchial polypropylene sutures 14 years after lobectomy. The sutures were safely identified and removed using flexible endobronchial scissors via fibreoptic bronchoscopy, resulting in complete resolution of bleeding.
