Dynamic Bonds Reinforced Polyamide Elastomer for Biomedical Orthosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dynamic bonds (DBs) reinforced shape memory polyamide elastomer is developed using reactive extrusion. Dynamic covalent networks enhance interlayer adhesion in 4D‐printed objects by utilizing the combined effects of multiple DBs, reducing mechanical anisotropy and improving the mechanical and shape memory properties.

Highly Oriented Bio‐Mimetic Hydrogels by Calendering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A facile and scalable organogel‐assisted calendering strategy is proposed to prepare bio‐mimetic anisotropic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogels. By employing a combination of shearing and annealing during calendering, PVA chains are aligned in the calendering direction, while the compression in thickness facilitates the formation of a nacre‐like ...

THE BRONZE BABY SYNDROME

Acta Paediatrica, 1982
ABSTRACT. Phototherapy with either daylight or blue lamps resulted in the development of the bronze baby syndrome in 13 infants. ‘Thermotherapy’with an incandescent bulb emitting light mainly in wavelengths not effective for phototherapy caused this syndrome in the 14th infant with respiratory failure.

Study of sinterability of bronze and phosphorus bronze steels

Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2001
Abstract The sinterability of different alloyed steels was studied by dilatometry at different temperatures. Iron and two amounts of graphite powders (0.3 and 0.7%) were used as raw materials for the base steels. Three levels (2, 5 and 8%) of bronze and phosphorus bronze (promoting liquid phase) were employed as alloying additions.
