Brookite, a sometimes under evaluated TiO2 polymorph [PDF]
Brookite positively affects solar photocatalysis, electrocatalysis and electrochemical applications by stabilizing photogenerated e−/h+ pairs. Brookite-related heterojunctions, cus Ti atoms, surface acidity and redox behaviour are crucial aspects.

Synthesis of Pure Brookite Nanorods in a Nonaqueous Growth Environment
Brookite TiO2 is the most difficult TiO2 polymorph to synthesize. The available methods in the literature to produce brookite nanostructures mostly use water-based techniques for the preparation of water-soluble Ti complexes first, followed by a ...

High-fraction brookite films from amorphous precursors [PDF]
AbstractStructure-specific synthesis processes are of key importance to the growth of polymorphic functional compounds such as TiO2, where material properties strongly depend on structure as well as chemistry. The robust growth of the brookite polymorph of TiO2, a promising photocatalyst, has been difficult in both powder and thin-film forms due to the

Preparation and investigation of the photocatalytic properties of Brookite
Brookite, anatase, and rutile were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, SEM, N2 sorption, thermal analysis, DR UV-vis spectra. The spherical brookite and anatase nanoparticles are of 10 nm size, while the rod-like rutile crystals are larger (500 nm).

DFT study of TiO2 brookite (210) surface doped with silver and molybdenum
The most popular semiconductor in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is titanium dioxide (TiO _2 ) because of its low cost, non-toxicity, and good stability.

BACKGROUND Rutile, anatase and brookite are TiO2 polymorphs. In the rutile in-situ U-Pb dating, rutile was determined primarily on electron microprobe data and cathodoluminescence images, while these methods sometimes could not effectively distinguish ...

Synthesis of Anatase/Brookite Nanocomposite with Controlled Structural and Morphological Characteristics [PDF]
The results of anatase/brookite nanocomposite hydrothermal synthesis are presented. The influence of the synthesis conditions on the structure and morphology of the obtained materials is investigated.

Structure and Photocatalytic Properties of Ni-, Co-, Cu-, and Fe-Doped TiO2 Aerogels
TiO2 aerogels doped with Ni, Co, Cu, and Fe were prepared, and their structure and photocatalytic activity during the decomposition of a model pollutant, acid orange (AO7), were studied.

Reduced grey brookite for noble metal free photocatalytic H2 evolution [PDF]
Herein we introduce for the first time a reduced "grey"brookite TiO2 photocatalyst, produced by thermal hydrogenation of brookite nanoparticles, that shows a remarkable noble metal free photocatalytic H2 evolution.
