Similar dynamic tibiofemoral movements during jump‐landing and walking but distinct hamstrings strength across ACL reconstruction autograft types at mid‐term follow‐up

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Dynamic tibiofemoral movements following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with quadriceps tendon (QT) autografts have not yet been compared to other autografts. We aimed to compare dynamic anterior tibial translation (ATTd) and internal tibial rotation (ITRd) during jump‐landing and walking among patients with QT, bone ...

Quadriceps tendon autograft is not inferior to bone‐patellar tendon‐bone or hamstring autograft in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in terms of subjective patient‐reported outcomes: Two‐year results of a multicenter randomised controlled study

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the effectiveness of quadriceps tendon (QT) compared to bone‐patellar tendon‐bone (BPTB) and hamstring tendon (HT) autografts in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) regarding patient‐reported outcomes 2 years postoperatively.

The Politics of Policy Robustness: A Central Paradox and Computational Review of Adaptive Policymaking

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Policy robustness, that is, the capacity of policies to sustain performance across diverse and uncertain futures, is increasingly considered a core objective of public policymaking. Although adaptive policymaking is widely promoted as an approach to achieving policy robustness, it suffers from a central paradox highlighted by theories of the ...

Transcriptomic stress responses in Vaccinium spp. F1 hybrids: Implications for temperature‐resilient cranberry breeding using a crop wild relative

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Climate extremes threaten the sustainability of cranberry production, a culturally and economically important North American crop. This study demonstrates that wild cranberries (Vaccinium oxycoccos) harbor genetic variation that may enhance cold stress resilience when introduced into cultivated cranberry through hybridization.

A Set of Axioms for the Degree of a Tangent Vector Field on Differentiable Manifolds

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2010
Given a tangent vector field on a finite-dimensional real smooth manifold, its degree (also known as characteristic or rotation) is, in some sense, an algebraic count of its zeros and gives useful information for its associated ordinary differential ...

A Nexus Analysis of Municipal Wastewater Treatment and Reuse for Agriculture and Sustainability: A Life Cycle Assessment

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The sustainability of the wastewater treatment process relies on the capacity to maximize resource recovery while minimizing environmental impacts and cost. Treated wastewater reuse for agriculture has emerged as a potential solution to build resilience and sustainability.
