Stabilization of the Benzene Radical Trianion in an Inverse‐Sandwich Yttrium Complex
A new type of benzene anion state is born: The unprecedented benzene radical trianion embedded in an inverse‐sandwich yttrium complex was synthesized by a one‐electron chemical reduction of its benzene dianion precursor using potassium graphite in the presence of [2.2.2]‐cryptand.

Kaitocephalin (KCP) is a neuroprotective fungal metabolite with a unique scaffold of amino acids linked via C–C bonds. Genome‐transcriptome analyses identified its biosynthetic gene cluster (kpb cluster) in Eupenicillium shearii. LC‐MS/MS profiling identified four new KCP‐related compounds.

A Crystalline Mono‐Coordinate Indium(I)‐Phosphaalkenyl
The redox neutral carbometallation of a phospha‐alkyne using the dimeric indium(I) compound (InTer)2 is reported. This reaction affords a mono‐coordinate indium(I) compound that can reversibly extrude the phospha‐alkyne upon addition of a Lewis acid. Abstract The synthesis of the mono‐coordinate indium(I) compound In[C(Ad)═PTer] (Ad = 1‐adamantyl, Ter =

Stereodivergent Synthesis of Three Contiguous Stereogenic Centers by Cu/Ir‐Catalyzed Borylallylation
An alkene borylallylation strategy enabled by cooperative Cu/Ir‐catalysis has been uncovered for accessing three contiguous stereogenic centres. This strategy is notable given the inherent challenges of constructing molecules with multiple stereocenters while maintaining high selectivity bearing diverse functional groups.

Abstract Premise The censer seed dispersal mechanism, whereby mature fruits are retained on plants and seeds dispersed by mechanical shaking, is among the most specialized wind‐aided seed dispersal strategies employed by the flowering plants. An efficient, affordable, and easily repeatable protocol for determining whether a species uses this unusual ...

Quantitative assessment of masticatory muscles based on skull muscle attachment areas in Carnivora
Abstract Masticatory muscles are composed of the temporalis, masseter, and pterygoid muscles in mammals. Each muscle has a different origin on the skull and insertion on the mandible; thus, all masticatory muscles contract in different directions. Collecting in vivo data and directly measuring the masticatory muscles anatomically in various Carnivora ...

Abstract To solidify their power over society, totalitarian regimes will usually eliminate any dissent, any perceived threats early on. These threats include not only political enemies but also educated and independent segments of society, such as professional associations.
