A Gut‐Brain Axis Underlying Succinate‐Associated Compulsive‐Like Behavior

Gut‐derived succinate is associated with an excitatory‐inhibitory imbalance in dmPFC glutamatergic neurons, involving microglial SUCNR1 activation and vagal afferent signaling via upregulated gut 5‐HT4 receptors along the DVC‐CeA‐dmPFC circuit, changes that are linked to excessive compulsive‐like behavior.

Epithelial SLC25A20 Deficiency Drives Immunosuppressive Neutrophil Remodeling via ARG1 Palmitoylation to Promote Colorectal Cancer

SLC25A20 deficiency in tumor cells compromises mitochondrial LCFA transport, which suppresses FAO and drives compensatory release of palmitic acid‐enriched lipids into the TME. These tumor‐derived palmitic acids are taken up by TANs, promoting ZDHHC18‐catalyzed ARG1 palmitoylation.

We have recently shown that repellency of the tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus sensu lato by the tick resistant dog breed, the beagle, is mediated by volatile organic compounds (VOCs) 2-hexanone and benzaldehyde present in beagle odour.
