As the author of "Brown Dwarfs: The Boundary Between Planets and Stars," I present this meticulously researched and authoritative 17-page document, a significant contribution to the field of astronomy. This work offers a comprehensive analysis of brown dwarfs, celestial objects with masses ranging from 13 to 80 times that of Jupiter and surface ...

Farming in the shadows of Rome: A multi‐proxy palaeoenvironmental record from Loch Clunie—Perthshire
ABSTRACT Roman impacts on local society is a subject of international significance. Loch Clunie, Perthshire, lies only 5.4 km from Inchtuthil, the only Roman legionary fortress in Scotland, and contains two crannogs and a probable lakeside hillfort. Despite this proximity and the likelihood of local–Roman interaction, these sites remain unexcavated ...

Simulations of Electron Beam Interactions in Brown Dwarf Atmospheres
Over two decades ago, the first detection of electron cyclotron maser instability radio emission from a brown dwarf confirmed the presence of aurorally precipitating electrons on these objects.

Modeling Brown Dwarfs, L Dwarfs, and T Dwarfs [PDF]
In this contribution, I review a subset of our recent efforts in spectral and opacity modeling aimed at guiding the study of brown dwarfs, L dwarfs, and T dwarfs. I discuss theoretical calculations of the alkali line profiles, newly generated CrH opacities, new evidence for refractory rainout in T dwarfs from optical spectral measurements, and the ...

Can trigeminal sensations impact saltiness perception? A mini‐review
Abstract Many food companies have begun to reduce the salt content in their products due to health concerns; however, this reduction in salt content can affect the food's sensory appeal and flavour complexity. Flavour is defined as a combination of odour (i.e., smell), taste (i.e., gustation) and trigeminal sensations (i.e., chemesthesis).

Convergence Deficits in Myoclonus‐Dystonia Point to Cerebellar Impairment
Abstract Background Myoclonus‐dystonia (M‐D) is a monogenic movement disorder, with proposed cerebellar dysfunction. Vergence eye movement deficits, characteristics of degenerative cerebellar disease, have not been studied in M‐D. Cerebellar transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) is considered a potential therapeutic approach.

We present JWST/Mid Infrared Instrument (MIRI) low-resolution spectroscopy (4.75–14 μ m) of the first known substellar companion, Gliese 229Bab, which was recently resolved into a tight binary brown dwarf.

Physical Properties of Binary Brown Dwarfs
Astrometric observations of binary brown dwarfs yield dynamical masses of the components independently of theoretical models. We give an update on our long-term high-resolution spectroscopic and photometric monitoring programme of spatially resolved ...

Measuring tiny mass accretion rates onto young brown dwarfs [PDF]
We present low-resolution Keck I/LRIS-ADC spectra spanning from 3200–9000 Å of six young brown dwarfs in the TW Hya Association and in Upper Sco. The optical spectral types of the sample range from M7.25–M8.75, though two have near-IR spectral types of ...
