Topotactic Phase Transformation in Epitaxial SrCo1‐xFexO3−δ Thin Films
Epitaxial perovskite (P) and brownmillerite (BM) SrCo0.67Fe0.33O3−δ thin films grown on (100) SrTiO3 substrates by pulsed laser deposition are investigated by detailed X‐ray diffraction, conductive AFM, and SQUID magnetometry measurements regarding their

Origin of metal-insulator transitions in correlated perovskite metals
The mechanisms that drive metal-to-insulator transitions (MIT) in correlated solids are not fully understood, though intricate couplings of charge, spin, orbital, and lattice degrees of freedom have been implicated.

Ca2Cr0.5Ga1.5O5—An extremely redox-stable brownmillerite phase
Abstract Investigation of the Ca 2 Cr x Ga 2− x O 5 compositional series reveals a maximum chromium solubility of 25%. The most chromium rich composition, Ca 2 Cr 0.5 Ga 1.5 O 5 , adopts a brownmillerite-type anion deficient perovskite structure described in space group Pnma ( a =5.368 A, b =14.547 A, c =5.593 A).

A high-performance oxygen evolution catalyst in neutral-pH for sunlight-driven CO2 reduction
Solar-to-fuel conversion under mild conditions offers a renewable means to store energy. Here authors report a Brownmillerite oxide for neutral-pH oxygen evolution that, when integrated with an anodized silver cathode, enables a 13.9% energy-conversion ...
