BRST quantization of the superstring in background fields

Physical Review D, 1989
We study the superconformal algebra of the Neveu-Schwarz-Ramond superstring in the back-ground of graviton and antisymmetric tensor fields. The classical Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin charge is obtained and the gravitational Ward identities are presented using the invariance properties of the S-matrix generating functional.

BRST quantization of topological field theory

Physical Review D, 1990
The canonical quantization of the topological field-theory model $\ensuremath{\int}{M}^{}F\ensuremath{\wedge}B$, proposed by Horowitz, is examined through the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin approach. With this approach we have a manifestly covariant description of a certain class of topological quantum field theories. However, if $M$ in the present model is

BRST quantization of the spinning particle

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1989
Using rigged Hilbert space techniques, the spinning particle is BRST quantized. It is shown that there is a unique admissible Hermitian form on the extended phase space. With respect to it, the BRST operator is anti-Hermitian. The doubling of the BRST cohomology is removed by choosing a subspace on which the Hermitian form is positive definite.

Parametrization Ghosts and BRST Quantization

2012
As another application of conformal field theory, we want to examine the reparametrization ghosts which we introduced within the path integral quantization of the bosonic string in Chap. 3. In the second part of this chapter we briefly study the very much related issue of BRST quantization of the bosonic string, where we encounter another ...

BRST quantization and coadjoint orbit theories

Physical Review D, 1991
A new ‘harmonic’ BRST method is presented for quantizing those dynamical systems having second-class constraints which split into holomorphic and antiholomorphic algebras. These theories include those whose phase spaces are coadjoint orbits of a compact semisimple Lie group.
