BRST Formalism and Zero Locus Reduction [PDF]

open access: yesJ.Math.Phys. 42 (2001) 3315-3333, 2000
In the BRST quantization of gauge theories, the zero locus $Z_Q$ of the BRST differential $Q$ carries an (anti)bracket whose parity is opposite to that of the fundamental bracket.

Geometric quantization of the BRST charge [PDF]

open access: greenCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1992
In the first half of this paper (Sects. 1–4) we generalise the standard geometric quantization procedure to symplectic supermanifolds. In the second half (Sects. 5, 6) we apply this to two examples that exhibit classical BRST symmetry, i.e., we quantize the BRST charge and the ghost number.

Comments on BRST quantization of strings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2005
The BRST quantization of strings is revisited and the derivation of the path integral measure for scattering amplitudes is streamlined. Gauge invariances due to zero modes in the ghost sector are taken into account by using the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism.

Nilpotent Symmetries of a Model of 2D Diffeomorphism Invariant Theory: BRST Approach

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Within the framework of the Becchi‐Rouet‐Stora‐Tyutin (BRST) formalism, we discuss the full set of proper BRST and anti‐BRST transformations for a 2D diffeomorphism invariant theory which is described by the Lagrangian density of a standard bosonic string. The above (anti‐)BRST transformations are off‐shell nilpotent and absolutely anticommuting.

Superfield Approaches to a Model of Bosonic String: Curci‐Ferrari‐Type Restrictions

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Exploiting the theoretical potential of the modified Bonora‐Tonin superfield approach (MBTSA) as well as the (anti‐)chiral superfield approach (ACSA) to Becchi‐Rouet‐Stora‐Tyutin (BRST) formalism, we derive the complete set of off‐shell nilpotent (anti‐)BRST symmetry transformations corresponding to the classical two‐ (1 + 1) dimensional (2D ...

Double Copy from Homotopy Algebras

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 69, Issue 8-9, September 2021., 2021
It will be shown that the BRST Lagrangian double copy construction of N = 0 supergravity as the ‘square’ of Yang–Mills theory finds a natural interpretation in terms of homotopy algebras. The authors significantly expand on their previous work arguing the validity of the double copy at the loop level, and they give a detailed derivation of the double ...

Christ–Lee Model: (Anti‐)chiral Supervariable Approach to BRST Formalism

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
We derive the off‐shell nilpotent of order two and absolutely anticommuting Becchi‐Rouet‐Stora‐Tyutin (BRST), anti‐BRST, and (anti‐)co‐BRST symmetry transformations for the Christ–Lee (CL) model in one (0 + 1)‐dimension (1D) of spacetime by exploiting the (anti‐)chiral supervariable approach (ACSA) to BRST formalism where the quantum symmetry (i.e ...
