Functorial constructions related to double Poisson vertex algebras
Abstract For any double Poisson algebra, we produce a double Poisson vertex algebra using the jet algebra construction. We show that this construction is compatible with the representation functor which associates to any double Poisson (vertex) algebra and any positive integer a Poisson (vertex) algebra.

Constrained BRST-BFV Lagrangian formulations for higher spin fields in Minkowski spaces
BRST-BFV method to construct constrained Lagrangian formulations for (ir)reducible half-integer higher-spin Poincare group representations in Minkowski space is suggested.

BRST quantization of noncommutative gauge theories [PDF]
In this paper, the BRST symmetry transformation is presented for the noncommutative U(N) gauge theory. The nilpotency of the charge associated to this symmetry is then proved. As a consequence for the space-like non-commutativity parameter, the Hilbert space of physical states is determined by the cohomology space of the BRST operator as in the ...

Symmetries in the Hamiltonian Formulation of String Theory
In the context of the Hamiltonian formulation of string theory, a widely acknowledged issue is the inability of the first‐class constraints to accurately reproduce the Lagrangian symmetry transformations. We take a critical look at the Hamiltonian formulation of the Polyakov string and demonstrate, using Castellani′s procedure, that diffeomorphism and ...

Abstract A quantum gauge theory is anomalous within the BRST quantization if there does not exist any conserved, nilpotent BRST charge. What is to be called the BRST charge is then either a nilpotent of a conserved charge. It is proposed that a particular conserved charge may be used to consistently quantize an anomalous gauge theory.

Pseudoscalar Field as a Possible Candidate for Phantom Field
We demonstrate the existence of a single pseudoscalar (PS) field in the mathematically backed and parity‐preserving modifications of the standard Stückelberg formalism (SSF) in the context of the Lagrangian formulation of the (i) two (1 + 1)‐dimensional (2D) massive Abelian 1‐form gauge theory, (ii) three (2 + 1)‐dimensional (3D) massive Abelian 2‐form

BRST-BV quantization of gauge theories with global symmetries
We consider the general gauge theory with a closed irreducible gauge algebra possessing the non-anomalous global (super)symmetry in the case when the gauge fixing procedure violates the global invariance of classical action.

Open String Renormalization Group Flow as a Field Theory
Abstract This article shows that the integral flow‐lines of the RG‐flow of open string theory can be interpreted as the solitons of a Hořova–Lifshitz sigma‐model of open membranes. The authors argue that the effective background description of this model implies the g‐theorem of open string theory.

Spin fields for the spinning particle
We propose an analogue of spin fields for the relativistic RNS-particle in 4 dimensions, in order to describe Ramond-Ramond states as “two-particle” excitations on the world line.
