[Brucella canis infection in man].
Deutsche medizinische Wochenschrift (1946), 1986A Brucella canis infection, causing recurrent fever with so-called granulomatous hepatitis and splenomegaly, was detected serologically in a 30-year-old female patient. The disease originated in an infected dog from Greece which also showed a high titre.

Brucella canis Isolates from Canadian Dogs.
The Canadian veterinary journal = La revue veterinaire canadienne, 2010Eleven Brucella canis isolates from Canadian dogs were characterized by dye and antibiotic sensitivity, phage susceptibility, urease and H(2)S production, CO(2) requirement, and reaction with monospecific A,M, and R anti-Brucella antiserum. The isolates could be separated into two distinct groups.
