Poka: A Necro‐Robot Beetle with a Measured Payload Ratio of 6847%
Here, Poka, a necro‐robot beetle with the ability to carry more than 68 times its own weight, is introduced, making it also a walking robot with the highest payload ratio measured to date. This paper is concerned with the design, manufacture and validation of ‘Poka', a novel millimetre‐scale necro‐robot aimed at bridging the performance gap between ...

Identification and partial purification of K88ab Escherichia coli receptor proteins in porcine brush border membranes [PDF]
Six receptor proteins, with molecular masses ranging from 94 to 27 kDa, that bind to Escherichia coli K88ab fimbriae were recovered from brush border membranes and were detected after solubilization with Triton X-114.

This study explores machine learning‐driven prediction of fiber length characteristics in sustainable yarn blends made from recycled cotton and Lyocell. By analyzing empirical data through models like Random Forest and Gradient Boosting, and interpreting results with SHAP, key fiber length features from the Staple Diagram and Fibrogram are identified ...

The Tai Ji symbol from China represents the co‐existence of two opposite substances, similar to quantum entanglement. The term Janus comes from ancient Roman religion and mythology. Janus, the god of beginnings, transitions, etc., has two faces, symbolizing duality. Janus cellulose nanomaterials show structural duality.
