Late Pleistocene to Holocene sedimentation in the Great Blue Hole (Lighthouse Reef, Belize): Results from a 30 m long core

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
A 30 m long sedimentary succession at the bottom of the Belize Blue Hole represents terrestrial cenote (12.5–7.2 ka BP), restricted marine swamp (7.2–5.7 ka BP) and fully marine lagoonal phases (5.7–0 ka BP) on Lighthouse Reef carbonate platform. Post‐glacial and Holocene sea‐level rise largely controlled the sedimentological, faunal and floral changes

Holocene development of submerged keep‐up patch reefs on Bermuda without acroporids: A model of future reef accretion

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
Bermuda patch reefs development was primarily controlled by massive coral framework construction, and variation in environmental energy, turbidity and bioerosion. These factors shaped the size, diversity and preservation of the framework, leading to a suppressed, steady vertical accretion.

Weighing in: Clinician and Patient Perspectives on Discussions of Expected Body Weights in Eating Disorder Treatment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Clinicians often determine an “expected body weight” (EBW) for patients who have lost weight due to an eating disorder (ED). However, there is inconsistent guidance and limited empirical research on when, how, and why to discuss EBWs with patients. This study explores clinician and patient perspectives on discussions of EBWs.

A Faraday Cage‐Inspired Triboelectric Nanogenerator Enabled by Alloy Powder Architecture for Self‐Powered Ocean Sensing

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A Faraday cage‐inspired triboelectric nanogenerator (FC‐TENG) is developed using a FeCoCrNiAl alloy powder interface that confines electrostatic fields and suppresses charge dissipation. The resulting device achieves high‐voltage output (1276.27 V), strong humidity resistance, and excellent durability, enabling stable energy harvesting in ocean ...

Silver‐Based Supportless Membrane Electrode Assemblies for Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Most commonly, electrochemical CO2 reduction is performed in a three‐compartment setup employing gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) to decrease mass transport limitations of the gaseous reactant CO2 to the reaction interface. However recently, there has been a rising number of investigations on suitable membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) to ...
