Aminopeptidases Of Intestinal Brush Border Membrane
2018Intestinal aminopeptidase A and aminopeptidase N are respectively responsible for the hydrolysis of acidic and neutral N-terminal residues of synthetic substrates such as p-nitroanilides and of the peptides resulting from protein degradation by pancreatic enzymes. They are among the more abundant hydrolases of the brush border membrane.

Mechanisms of Intestinal Brush Border Iron Transport
1989Mucosal uptake represents the first cellular step in iron absorption and is the point at which the cell biochemistry of iron absorption and the nutritional chemistry of dietary iron interact. Mucosal uptake was identified as a distinct step in the iron absorption process about 30 years ago (Manis & Schachter, 1962) and several groups of workers have ...

NAD-glycohydrolase in renal brush border membranes
American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology, 1985NAD is hydrolyzed during incubation with isolated renal brush border membranes (BBM). The specific enzymatic mechanisms have not been identified apart from the activity of ADP-ribosyltransferase, which accounts for a very small proportion of the total hydrolysis.
