Brushless induction synchronous generator
2016 IEEE 25th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2016In present scenario of renewable energy generation systems, brush-less and magnet-less generators are becoming more popular due to merits such as high reliability, robustness, fault tolerant capability and almost maintenance free operation, etc. This paper deals with a brushless induction synchronous generator (BInSyG), where an induction and a ...

A BRUSHLESS SYSTEM FOR POSITION CONTROL
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983Abstract The problems related to the use of a Brushless motor in a position control are analysed. The motor is a P.M. Synchronous motor, for which a magnetically isotropic or anisotropic structure may occur, according to the magnets arrangement in the rotor. The attention is firstly devoted to the drive system prerogatives, which must be suitable for ...

Brushless superconducting alternators
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1977A report is presented on the program at CWRU to demonstrate the feasibility of a brushless superconducting alternator. In this machine the rotating field windings of the generator are excited by a flux pump. In this manner the conventional slip rings used to lead the current to the windings are eliminated.

We derive the mathematical model of this class of motors. Then we design the proposed control schemes in original coordinates, i.e. a dq transformation is not required. We formally solve the velocity and position regulation problems. A pendulum is included as the load in the position control problem. In this chapter we include sketches of the stability

Planar Brushless Magnetic Micromotors
Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, 2006Novel planar magnetic micromotors and microgenerators of active diameter 8 mm were developed, delivering estimated torques of 100 muN.m at speeds in excess of 140 000 r/min. Such high performances are due to an innovative use of deep lithography and silicon etching for the fabrication of the stator coils. The hybrid design of the micromotors combines a

A brushless a.c. generator is described which has a mode of operation similar to two wound-rotor induction machines connected in cascade. This cascade machine, which has previously been considered for application as a motor, has single stator and rotor windings in a conventional induction-machine frame. The machine is one of inherently high pole number.
