Bryoflora of the Czech Republic

Bryophytes are an intrinsic part of various vegetation types in Central European landscapes. The Czech bryoflora is made up of 866 species (207 liverworts, 655 mosses and 4 hornworts) of which 59 are considered to be extinct or have vanished. The great majority are native species, while only four species are of demonstrably alien origin.

Additions to the Bryoflora of Southern California

Crossidium seriatum (Pottiaceae) is newly reported for California, and eleven taxa of mosses and liverworts are reported for the first time from southern California. Fourteen additional bryophytes are new records for San Diego County, California.
