Environmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 2, March/April 2026.Bryophyte‐targeted primers captured a longer DNA fragment, moving beyond the indirect “bycatch” approach using vascular plant primers. This improved detection and recovered greater bryophyte diversity, with substantial overlap with taxa obtained through bycatch.
