Die Moosflora des Untersuchungsgebietes Obersand hat sich als erstaunlich artenreich erwiesen. Gesamthaft wurden 242 Moosarten gefunden, wovon 47 Arten zu den Lebermoosen und 195 zu den Laubmoosen gehören. Neben vielen Arten, die in der subalpinen und der alpinen Stufe häufig sind, wurden auch 20 Arten der Roten Liste gefunden.
