Harnessing Chain Mobility via Protonation for Tough and Isotropic Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A protonation‐guided strategy enables ultra‐tough, isotropic PVA hydrogels by temporarily unlocking chain mobility via acidification and fixing homogeneous networks through salting‐out. The resulting materials simultaneously achieve high strength, extreme stretchability, and record‐level toughness, offering a generalizable route toward robust hydrogels

Collapse of large vapor bubbles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1982
The refilling of propellant tanks while in a low-gravity environment requires that entrapped vapor bubbles be collapsed by increasing the system pressure.

Cavitation and bubble collapse in hot asymmetric nuclear matter

open access: yes, 2004
The dynamics of embryonic bubbles in overheated, viscous and non-Markovian nuclear matter is studied. It is shown that the memory and the Fermi surface distortions significantly affect the hinderance of bubble collapse and determine a characteristic ...

Bubble Collapse in Subcooled Boiling

open access: yesBulletin of JSME, 1973
The motion of a vapor bubble in subcooled boiling was studied experimentally using slightly subcooled water, ethanol, and carbon-tetrachloride under the atmospheric pressure. The degree of subcooling ranged usually from about 2°C to 50°C, and in a few extreme cases it was extended to below 1°C. The experimental data for the collapse stage were found to

Rewriting Polymer Fate via Chemomechanical Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a life‐like “living” polymer platform that can grow, degrow, and reprogram its properties after fabrication. By integrating mass transport, reversible polymerization, and controlled catalysis, the material achieves on‐demand changes in size, shape, and mechanical properties.

Decoding High‐voltage LiCoO2: From Degradation to Stabilization Toward Durable Li‐ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically addresses the degradation mechanisms and stabilization strategies for high‐voltage LiCoO2 cathodes. Key enhancement approaches including foreign‐ion doping, surface modifications, structural design, and electrolyte optimization are critically assessed.

Oxygen Evolution Reaction Catalysts for Acidic‐Media CO2 Electrolyzers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Acidic‐media CO2 electroreduction (CO2R) could decarbonize chemical production, despite relying on rare‐earth elements for anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Transferring the learnings from mature sister technologies (water electrolysis) could accelerate technological development.
