Experimental study on solids mixing and bubble behavior in a pseudo-2D, freely bubbling, gas-solid fluidized bed using PIV and DIA [PDF]
The hydrodynamics of a freely bubbling, gas-solid fluidized bed has been investigated experimentally with non-invasive measuring techniques in a pseudo-2D column filled with glass beads of 400-600 μm fluidized with air.

Behavior of bubbles in large scale bubble column.
Experimental work was conducted with a 550 cm-diameter bubble column to find the influence of column diameter on circulating liquid flow, gas holdup, bubble size and bubble velocity. The relationship between average gas holdup and superficial gas velocity in the column is almost the same as that in a small-size bubble column.
