Testing for Multiple Bubbles: Limit Theory of Real Time Detectors

open access: yes, 2015
This article provides the limit theory of real‐time dating algorithms for bubble detection that were suggested in Phillips, Wu, and Yu (PWY; International Economic Review 52 [2011], 201–26) and in a companion paper by the present authors (Phillips, Shi ...

Long‐Range Coordination Environment Modulates Single‐Atom Local States and Systemic Impact on CO2 Photoconversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Terminal groups on Cu porphyrins modulate the electronic states of single‐atom Cu centers through a long‐range electronic effect, without altering the Cu coordination geometry. Meanwhile, a multi‐descriptor framework is established that incorporates porphyrin regulation, hybrid catalyst properties, and CO2 photoreduction capabilities.

Learning the CAPM through Bubbles [PDF]

open access: yes
Bubbles are generally considered the outcome of investor irrationality or informational asymmetry, both objectionable in efficient markets with rational investors.

Bubbles and bubbly flows

open access: yesInternational Journal of Multiphase Flow
Bubbles and bubbly flows are omnipresent in nature and technology, showing a multitude of phenomena, which can be either beneficial or a hindrance. In any case, for their control and their applications, it is crucial to understand their fundamentals and therefore from the very beginning of the International Journal of Multiphase Flow they have been ...

A Bilayered Inorganic‐Metal Interface Enables Highly Reversible Aluminum Deposition for Long‐Life Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an

The Classification and Identification of Asset Price Bubbles [PDF]

open access: yes
This article briefly summarizes approaches to and options for identifying bubbles in asset prices. Further, the article draws on bubble literature and it theoretically discusses classification of asset price bubbles according to features as differences ...

A Self-Consistent Physical Model of the Bubbles in a Gas Solid Two-Phase Flow

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
We develop a self-consistent physical model of bubbles in a gas solid two-phase flow. Using the Peng-Robonson state equation and a detailed specific heat ratio equation of bubbles, we obtain the kinetic equations of the bubbles on the basis of the Ergun ...

Bubbles unbound II: AdS and the single bubble [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2007
I present further analytic time symmetric initial data for five dimensions describing ``bubbles of nothing'' which have no Kaluza-Klein circle asymptotically. The new solutions consist of a large family of single bubbles in both asymptotically flat and asymptotically AdS space.

Microfabricated Anisotropic Myobundles for the Scalable Production of Cardiac Tissue Grafts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the anisotropy of cardiac tissue remains an outstanding challenge in the field of cardiac tissue engineering. Here, we introduce an approach to generate anisotropic cardiac myobundles using cell‐adhesive, synthetic, electrospun fibers and stem cell‐derived cardiac fibroblasts.
