AbstractIn this paper, a new transformerless buck–boost converter is proposed. This converter is based on combining two basic converters, including Cuk and traditional buck–boost converters, along with a voltage multiplier (VM) at the output side. The proposed semi‐quadratic buck–boost converter operates in continuous conduction mode (CCM) and provides

A novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter: KY buck-boost converter
2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2008In this paper, a novel voltage-bucking/boosting converter, named as KY buck-boost converter (i.e. 2D converter) is presented herein. Unlike the traditional buck-boost converter, this converter possesses fast transient responses, similar to the behavior of the buck converter with synchronous rectification.

A new soft-switching technique for buck, boost, and buck~boost converters
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2003A new soft switching technique for buck, boost and buck-boost converters using a coupled inductor is proposed in this paper. The principles of operation of these converters are analyzed in detail. An additional winding is added on the same core of the main inductor for the purpose of commutation.

A special buck-boost converter
[Proceedings] Fourteenth International Telecommunications Energy Conference - INTELEC '92, 2003A special step-up/down converter is investigated. The basic function, the stationary relationships, the small signal behavior, the position of the poles and zeros and the dimensioning are discussed. For a model converter, simulation and measurement results are compared.
