Listening to young children with disabilities: Experiences of quality in mainstream primary education

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract All children should have access to quality education through a child‐centred pedagogy. An inclusive, child‐centred pedagogy uses a strength‐based view of children that recognises each child as unique and competent, providing children with multiple opportunities to explore and learn at their own pace.

Methods of lab silos sealing and fermentation characteristics and aerobic stability of sugarcane silage treated with microbial additive

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Zootecnia, 2012
The present experimental assay evaluated the effect of lab silo sealing methods on the ensilage of the sugarcane, with or without microbial additives (Lactobacillus plantarum and Propionibacterium acidipropionici).

Making it explicit – Sustained shared thinking dialogue as a way to explore children's perspectives on quality in German early childhood education and care

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract To negotiate quality in early childhood education and care, we must ask from different perspectives what constitutes a good centre for children. The children themselves have only recently been identified as a resource to contribute to that discussion.

An Indicator‐Based Decision Framework for Circular Bioeconomy Transition in the Steel Industry: Integrating Multiphase Learning and Cooperative Game Modelling

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite growing attention to the circular bioeconomy (CBE), the steel industry currently lacks a standardised, sectoral measurement framework to facilitate a low‐carbon transition. In this study, a decision‐support framework for evaluating CBE performance in the steel industry is proposed.

Replacing kelp meal (Macrocystis pyrifera) with a winery by-product in a balanced diet for green abalone (Haliotis fulgens)

open access: yesCiencias Marinas, 2004
Kelp meal made from Macrocystis pyrifera is a common ingredient in abalone diets (Haliotis fulgens); however, a greater demand for this ingredient as feed supplement for domestic animals has led to a considerable increase in price and it has become ...

Space charge effects and coherent stability limits in barrier buckets [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics - Accelerators and Beams, 2003
A large-scale Vlasov simulation study of the microwave instability below transition energy in a beam confined between two barrier pulses is performed. Starting from a matched distribution function for the confined ion beam including the space charge impedance the stability threshold in the longitudinal impedance plane is obtained.

Climate Stress Testing on European SME Securitised Loans Under Climate Mitigation Scenarios

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Assessing the future impact of climate risks on the probability of default (PD) of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is challenging due to limited disclosure, policy uncertainty and exposure to physical risks. This paper addresses this gap by integrating macroeconomic variables from the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS ...

Performance of post-processing algorithms for rainfall intensity using measurements from tipping-bucket rain gauges [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Measurement Techniques, 2016
Eight rainfall events recorded from May to September 2013 at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) have been selected to investigate the performance of post-processing algorithms used to calculate the rainfall intensity (RI) from tipping-bucket rain ...
