Thermally Processable, Transparent, Mechanically Tunable and Robust Bioplastics From Wastepaper

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Unlike conventional inefficient or low‐value wastepaper recycling, a directional transformation strategy is employed to convert whole wastepaper into intact bioplastics with tunable mechanical properties in our work. These bioplastics can be processed into flexible bags or rigid containers and exhibit high transparency, water resistance, repairability,

Rod Origami (RodOri) Spring Metamaterials for Tunable Vibration Control via Tailored Structural Instabilities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Rod Origami (RodOri) springs harness snap‐through instabilities of pre‐stressed curved rods with geometrically programmable buckling behavior. Integrating RodOri springs with distinct geometries yields multistable metamaterials that undergo stepwise reconfiguration via sequential snapping, achieving wide‐range tunability of stiffness and resonance ...

HDQ-based solution strategy for in-plane nonlinear buckling of shallow steel arches with linear elastic supports

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics
This paper investigates the in-plane nonlinear buckling of shallow steel arches with linear elastic supports. Differential equations of equilibrium are built considering a virtual work principle. To balance computational accuracy, efficiency, and cost, a

Polarization Dynamics in Ferroelectrics: Insights Enabled by Machine Learning Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Machine learning molecular dynamics is presented as a route to capture polarization switching, domain wall kinetics, topological polar textures, and polar mechanical coupling beyond the limits of conventional atomistic methods. This Perspective surveys recent progress and identifies key methodological directions, including long‐range electrostatics ...

Prediction Of Buckling-Mode Interaction

open access: yes, 1999
Pultruded structural shapes are often used as columns of intermediate length, for which the global and local buckling loads are close. Interaction between the two buckling modes is accounted in design by an empirical interaction constant.

Flexible Thin‐Film Heater Composed of Laser‐Induced Graphene and Poly(D, L‐Lactic Acid) with Electro‐ and Photo‐Thermal Properties toward Cancer Thermotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a thin‐film‐type heat‐generating device that uses laser induced graphene (LIG) on a poly(D, L‐lactic) acid film, which realizes both resistance heating by direct current application and photothermal conversion heating by near‐infrared light irradiation.

Thin‐Film Thermal Sensors on Chitosan Substrates for Sustainable Transient Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Fully transient thin‐film temperature sensors are realized on pure chitosan substrates using Mo‐based RTDs and a‐IGZO/Mo thermistors. The devices exhibit high sensitivity, mechanical flexibility, humidity‐aware operation, and complete dissolution in natural solvents.
