Welcome to the Anthropozine! DIY Booklets as an Alternative to the Peer‐Reviewed Publication

open access: yesAmerican Anthropologist, Volume 128, Issue 2, Page 416-423, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Peer‐reviewed publications remain the most accepted form of knowledge production and distribution in academia today. But such formal publications are often deeply exclusionary, especially for undergraduate and early graduate students as well as scholars tackling highly stigmatized subjects.

Magnetic Field‐Modulated Boolean Logic in Proteinoid‐ Fe3 O4 Hybrid Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Proteinoid‐Fe3O4${\rm Fe}_3{\rm O}_4$. nanoparticle composites exhibit spontaneous electrical oscillations that emulate Boolean logic gates (AND, OR, XOR, NAND, NOR, NOT) under magnetic field modulation. External fields of 65.103 mT tune oscillatory behavior: 84 mT enhances amplitude while 103 mT suppresses it.

Freeze–Thaw‐Induced Physically Cross‐Linked Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)/Alginate Hydrogels Incorporating Silver‐Doped Zinc Oxide and Clove Oil

open access: yesBiopolymers, Volume 117, Issue 3, May 2026.
Freeze–thaw‐induced physically cross‐linked PVA/alginate hydrogels incorporating Ag/ZnO and clove oil exhibit improved structural integrity, tunable barrier properties, and controlled release behavior, highlighting their potential as multifunctional wound dressing materials. ABSTRACT This study reports the fabrication and comprehensive characterization

Bacillus velezensis Enhances the Resistance of Wheat Against Cd Stress via Reprogramming Metabolite Production

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cadmium (Cd) pollution poses a serious threat to crop yields and plant health. As a bacterium that promotes plant growth, Bacillus velezensis has been proven to promote plant growth under non‐biological coercive conditions. However, the molecular mechanism of B. velezensis‐mediated Cd toxicity alleviation of wheat is still not well understood.

Spring phenology of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) in a submountain beech stand with different stocking in 1995-2004

open access: yesJournal of Forest Science, 2006
Two spring phenophases (bud-burst and leaf unfolding) of a parent stand and naturally regenerated undergrowth of European beech were observed in conditions under different stand density over the last 10 years.

Efficacy of different insecticides and a repellent against the European pear sucker (Cacopsylla pyri) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The efficacy of different insecticides (neem, pyrethrin, spinosad, and rotenone) and a repellent (kaolin) applied with different strategies (single or repeated applications) against the over-wintering pear suckers (Cacopsylla pyri) and nymphs of the ...

Plastid and nuclear phylogenomics of Cyphostemma (Vitaceae) provide new insights into genome size evolution across sub‐Saharan Africa

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, Volume 68, Issue 5, Page 1399-1420, May 2026.
Some African Cyphostemma species evolved much larger genomes as they adapted to dry, rocky habitats. These expansions are linked to succulent traits and specialization on nutrient‐rich limestone outcrops. The findings show how climate‐driven aridification shaped plant evolution and highlight broader genome‐environment patterns across flowering plants ...
