Numerical simulation of non-extensive Boltzmann equation

open access: yes, 2006
We present first results of the development of a test particle simulation for solving non-extensive extensions of the elastic two-particle Boltzmann equation. Stationary one-particle energy distributions with power-law tail are obtained.Comment: 6 pages,

Heterogeneity in Food Price Inflation Convergence Across the EU: Evidence From Club Dynamics and Structural Breaks

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines food price inflation rate convergence among EU27 Member States from 2005 to 2024, focusing on structural breaks, external shocks, and regional disparities. Using panel unit root tests and club convergence analysis, the findings reveal no overall convergence but identify multiple convergence clubs.

Extralevator Abdominoperineal Excision Improves Overall Survival Compared to Standard Abdominoperineal Excision: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 38 studies, encompassing over 5000 patients, compared extralevator abdominoperineal excision (ELAPE) with standard abdominoperineal excision (APE) in patients with advanced low rectal cancer. ELAPE was associated with significantly improved overall and disease‐free survival, reduced intraoperative perforation

Partonic Effects in Heavy Ion Collisions at RHIC

open access: yes, 2002
Effects of partonic interactions in heavy ion collisions at RHIC are studied in a multiphase transport model (AMPT) that includes both initial partonic and final hadronic interactions. It is found that a large parton scattering cross section is needed to ...

Violation of kT factorization in quark production from the Color Glass Condensate

open access: yes, 2005
We examine the violation of the kT factorization approximation for quark production in high energy proton-nucleus collisions. We comment on its implications for the open charm and quarkonium production in collider experiments.Comment: 4 pages, 6 figures,
