Latent Budget Trees for Multiple Classification

This paper provides a methodology to grow classification trees when a multiple qualitative response is considered as a criterion variable. The latent budget model is used recursively to find ever finer partitions of cases into a prior fixed number of groups. The Akaike statistic is considered to select the most predictive model at each node of the tree.
